| Hará cosa de unas 3 o 4 semanas que compré una segunda Pentax Spotmatic… sí, tanto así me gustó la primera que tuve que conseguir la hermanita.
A diferencia de la primera, esta viene en un hermoso plateado con negro y estaba en inmejorables condiciones estéticas. Desgraciadamente, tenía un par de fallas mecánicas menores que serían arregladas un par de semanas después de estas fotos para dejarla mejor que nueva. Cuando compré la cámara, no pude evitar conseguir también para ella un nuevo 28mm, distancia focal con la que me he sentido muy cómodo disparando 135. El lente es un Tamron 28mm 2.8, impecable, limpio, increíble!!! Como no podía esperar a que me regresaran la cámara del servicio, le puse el lente a la Morena (la primera Spotmatic) y disparé un rollo de prueba para ver cómo se comportaba con una película que me ha resultado muy nítida revelada en D76 (para eliminar esta variable del estudio). Como era de esperarse, los resultados no decepcionaron. Me encantó la suavidad de manejo, el tamaño, el balance que le da a la cámara, la nitidez, el bokeh, el flare… en fin!! no pude haber conseguido mejor lente para la nueva bebé. En unos días más estaré subiendo las tomas hechas con este lente y la cámara para la que fue destinado en un principio. |
Maybe 3 or 4 weeks ago, I purchased a second Pentax Spotmatic… yes, I liked the first one that much, so I had to get her a sister.
Unlike the other one (The Brunette) this came in a silver and black face and was in the best physicial shape it could be. Unfortunately, it had a couple of minor mechanical issues that would be fixed a couple of weeks later to leave it better than new. When I bought the Silver one, I couldn’t help but get also a 28 mm for her, a focal length with which I’ve been pretty comfortable shooting 135. The lens is a Tamron 28mm 2.8, impeccable, clean, amazing!!! Since I couldn’t use it with the new one and I couldn’t wait for it to come back from service, I mounted the lens in the Brunette and shot a test roll to see how everything worked with a film that has proven to be very, very sharp when developed in D76 (just to get rid of this variable in evaluating the lens). As expected, the results didn’t disappoint. I loved the smoothness, the size, the balance with the camera, its sharpness, bokeh, flare… everything!! I certainly couldn’t have found a better lens for my new baby. In a couple of days I’ll be uploading some shots made with this lens and the camera it was to be with in the first place. |
